Fish-Tail Braid Tutorial
Fish Tail Braid
The fish tail braid is a really pretty look that can be used both casual and fancy.
So here's how to do it...
1. Make sure your hair is clean and combed with no tangles. If you have flyways you may want to use some sort of product to smooth those down.
2. Divide your hair into two large sections, straight down the middle of you head. Decide which direction will be more comfortable for you to weave in (right to left or left to right)
3. Pull a thin strand of hair from the outside of the first section. Pull this strand over the first section and add it under the second section on the other side. So basically once the hair has gone under the first section, it finishes under the second section.
NOTE: The skinner the strand of hair you use the more intricate the braid will look. For beginners, I'd recommend pulling tighter because it helps properly learn the method.
4. Do the same for the other side. Pull a skinny strand out from the second section and over this section, weave it under the first section.
5. Keep repeating these steps until you reach the end of your hair's length.
6. Tie your hair off with a hair tie. If you want, you can use bobby pins to pin away flyaway hairs that you don't like. And don't forget, you can make the braid tight or loose depending on how tightly you pulled the strands.
